"What time is the bus coming?" These are everyday terms traveling with a 50+ tour group. Yes, we have made a very big decision and are taking a group tour this trip. We have signed on with Overseas Adventure Travel. They are based in Boston and came highly recommended from our friends who travel even more than we do. They have also been on part of the trip we are taking and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Outside of traveling with our biking group, we have never done any big trips with any organization. This company specializes in off the beaten path for us over 50 folks and limited to 16 people per group. That sounds manageable. Having a guide at all times will also be a new experience we are looking forward to. Hoping that if this goes well, we will join up with them again for their Safari adventure. Another one on the bucket list.
Meanwhile, the snows have let up and the sun is shining. Yesterday we spent most of the day planning our Europe trip in the fall. This started out as a bike/barge trip from Amsterdam to Bruge. Now it seems, we will be taking advantage on being over on the other side of the pond and staying a while. After the barge, we will travel through France and part of Switzerland to eventually meet up with some other biking friends to join them in a bike/B&B trip from Vienna to Budapest. But that is a blog for another day.
As for this upcoming trip, I am looking forward to having most of the decisions made for us for a change. The only thing we have to know is "When do we put the luggage out?" "What time is the bus coming?"
Till next time ......GO PATS!!!!
